Louisiana

"The heart of the natural gas industry flows through Louisiana."

Louisiana has a rich history of oil and gas development. Today, new technology has provided access to previously untapped shale gas reserves including the well-known Haynesville Shale.

Within just three years of the Haynesville Shale’s initial development, the formation has reached an average of 5.5 billion cubic feet of daily natural gas production, making it the largest producing onshore field in the entire United States.

Louisiana's economy is roaring with the new vigor stemming from the oil and gas industry; including an influx of jobs, economic expansion, increase in new business sales and increased household earnings.
